Upcoming Videos

Thank you for coming back!  I just wanted to let you all know What I am currently working on.  The the coming weeks.  I know things have been quiet lately.

On my main channel,   I will be posting a video Saturday August 15th.  I am doing a collaboration with Lily, from Cool Rice Bunnies.  It won't be miniature food!    Hopefully my project will turn out okay.  If next week isn't too busy,  maybe I can get another video up this coming week as well.

On my Right Handed Knitting Channel,   I will be Starting a tutorial series.  The first video will be about choosing the yarn, and getting ready to start the project.

You can use scraps, or buy brand all, or even part of the yarn.  It is a sampler in ways.  Every time you change yarn you change stitches.  You can use a U.S. 10.5 - U.S. 11 circular needles.

I expect to have the tutorial about choosing the yarns by August 14,  Then the first knitting stitch by the following Friday.

I tend to buy a lot of the yarn for these blankets, rather than just using scrap yarn, and it gets expensive really quickly, so It will be a series that stretches between August and December.  I will post at least one new stitch per week.  Some Weeks will have more than one tutorial.  Here is a sneak peak of the pattern.  I included a couple of the stitch patterns I use.  If you are interested in seeing this series, give me a thumbs up on this video.  It helps me gauge interest in this project.  I will do this series, even though I haven't hit 50 thumbs up on the video yet. .

After I complete the right handed blanket, I will create a left handed series, of the same project in different colors if there is enough interest.

****P.S.****
Even though The Patreon $9.00 and $15.00 Surprise packages will be surprises each time,  I thought I would share the very first package for all people that sign up through August.  As a special thank you for your support, the very first package will be the full smore charm collection.

That means a graham cracker charm, chocolate charm, marshmallow charm, and a full smore charm.  That is a value of $22.00.

Patreon charges on the first every month, So if you sign up in August the first shipment will be sent, as soon as I receive the first payment which would be the first week of September.  Then it will be the normal schedule.  $9.00 monthly donations will receive their packages in the months of October, December, February, April, June, and August.
$15 donations once a month will receive a package every month.

A New Update

Happy August!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I started a Patreon Campaign.  I created a few levels of rewards.

With closing down my shop,  I was wanting to find a way, to still offer my customers and fans, a way to receive something from me every month or two.  P.S.*** August's surprise package will have 3 charms.

Here is the donation / reward breakdown.

$1.00 per month: For those that wish to help me buy more materials to help me keep creating new tutorials.  Thank you so much!

$3.00 per month: Previous rewards, and Heather's Musings.  Heather's musings will be private videos, sharing ideas, I have, especially when I have a ton of ideas and want feed back to see what you guys would like to see most.  I will also share what new things are going on, and if I see any good craft supply sales, I will share them there.

$5.00 per month:  Previous rewards. Access to private, very long tutorials.  Where I talk a lot more, very little editing.  My public youtube tutorials are now in the 4 - 9 minute range.  The long private long versions will be at least twice as long as the public version, but can be anywhere up to an hour depending on complexity.  You also get first access.  These videos will be up, at least 48 hours before the shortened public version.

$9.00 per month:  Previous rewards.  A surprise package every other month.  The months these packages will sent out are February, April, June, August, October, and December.  P.S. Most of the time the package will include some of my work.  Occasionally it can also include small samples of products I plan on using in future tutorials.  Once I start merchandising, There is a possibility of some of those items arriving to you as well.

$15.00 per month: Previous rewards.  This package is similar to the 9.00 per month,  except that you get a surprise package every month, instead of one package every 2 months.

**  When I do videos where I show the work of fans, the Patreon supporters will be shown first.

I have been thinking about this for a long time,  I want to continue to grow the polymer clay channel, and create better videos, which means better technology, and learning how to use it.  Patreon is a way to help me do that.  I don't want to alienate any of my amazing fan base, and subscribers.  I hope this is a way to accomplish both.

Thank you all for your past support!!!!
Heather

**** I just finished filing my state taxes, and have a pretty hectic week.  Tomorrow is my Birthday :) I hope to film again soon.  Once school starts back up for the kids I want to do two tutorials per week.  It is my goal to post a tutorial every single Friday, and work in a tutorial Monday through Wednesday sometime too.

Sharing my Diet Adventure?

I have been trying to diet this year.  I started right at the New Years.  I just reached 163 lbs, and decided that I wasn't going to gain anymore weight.  Don't get me wrong 160 lbs, looks great on some people.  I am barely five feet tall though, and small boned.

The first thing I did was cut out, my blended latte drinks, and the occasional soda.  I also started eating a little better, more chicken, and fish, adding a few more veggies, cutting out red meat for the most part.
With those changes I dropped down to 146  in about 6 weeks.  I stopped losing weight, so after a month I decided to drink slim fast twice a day, and eat one meal...  I have not budged since.  Waking up 146-147, and going to bed 148 - 149.  After three months of Slim Fast with no results, I started looking into nutrient rich food alternatives.

I found Soylent, and after reading reviews, I decided that I will try it.  Soylent was not created for weight loss.  After researching, and seeing the quite a few people were losing little bits of weight  I wanted to try it.

According to a calorie calculator my Basal Metabolic Rate is 1256 calories.  According to the site, in order to lose 1 lb per week I would need to eat 1005 calories a day.  Another site suggested 1100 - 1300 calories per day.

The Soylent I received is measured in 250 calorie scoops, so I decided to do 1000 calories a day, and that way I have room for a snack or two if I want. It came with a pitcher, and each night I prepare the next full day of calories, and drink it spaced out in thirds as three meals.

If I want to eat a meal, I just skip soylent for that particular meal.  Friday Nights are date nights, so I know I will definitely eat at least that one meal per week.   I decided to keep a daily log, to track whats going on. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vr9KdP6rl00Wt7mQuHianMxgFyLTQENQFG95ZdzUF3Y/pub

If any of you would like to see whats happening, I can make videos on the progress.
